Scarlet Enclave Raid - WoW Season of Discovery
Beatrix is a challenging two-phase encounter made tougher by the four captains that join her in battle each week (chosen from a pool of six). Proper preparation and execution are key to winning this fight.
Before engaging Beatrix, you get to remove two captains from the fight by defeating them earlier in the dungeon.
Cardinal Stilts (Priest) – Casts a debilitating raid-wide debuff that prevents movement and causes AoE damage.
Found in the church after speaking to FDrrol.
Canoneer – Drops massive fire zones from oversized cannonballs, cluttering the arena.
Found in the blacksmithing area near the pond.
Removing these two will simplify the encounter significantly.
During this setup phase, you’ll deal with waves of various enemies while dodging mechanics from the remaining captains.
Mages – Interrupt Pyroblast, group them up. They blink and Ice Block when low.
Cavalry – Must be tanked immediately or they’ll one-shot healers.
Priests – Can heal, interrupt as needed.
Archers & Infantry – Low priority; ignore infantry if needed.
Archer – Random AoE damage. Minor.
Shield Captain – Sends "marching lines" of adds with gaps. Move through the gaps to avoid damage.
Cavalry Captain – Fast-moving lines of mounted attackers from all directions. Zoom out to spot safe zones.
Meteor Mechanic – Massive meteor falls; soak as a raid group to avoid lethal damage.
After 2 minutes, Beatrix herself joins the fray. This is a tight 5-minute enrage timer – burst DPS is critical.
Unwavering Blade – Tank swap debuff.
Random Charges – Targets distant players (often hunters). Negligible but can reposition the boss.
Stoic Break – AoE lightning blast on random players. Drops you to ~1% HP – spread out to minimize overlap.
Adds – Continue spawning. They can stun tanks, so cleave DPS is vital.
Meteor + Canoneer Combo (if Canoneer is not removed) can wipe the raid if they overlap.
Stoic Break + Add Mechanics = deadly combo. Healers must be ready.
Kill Cardinal Stilts and Canoneer before Beatrix to simplify the fight.
Use cleave-heavy comps to handle Beatrix and adds simultaneously.
Watch for marching patterns and mounted charges – positioning is key.
Stack up and soak meteors, but be sure you're not simultaneously standing in fire or during Stoic Break.
High Commander Beatrix is chaotic but manageable if you:
Choose the correct captains to remove.
Stay aware of add waves and movement mechanics.
Bring high cleave DPS and strong situational awareness.
Beatrix is chaotic but beatable with good positioning, cleave damage, and removing the right captains beforehand.
Plan ahead, play smart, and you’ll take her down. Good luck!
